I was a little reluctant to pay for this unit, but I knew I had a very dusty project to accomplish and using the dust shroud was going to help keep me on the good side of my spouse!I was able to find an open box unit for about 15% off, so the price was right.After doing a quite a bit of grinding my basement concrete floor to flatten it for wood floor installation, I am convinced it is a must-have item.Quality of the DustBuddie is good - seems to aim at the homeowner and light-commercial user.Installation of the dust shroud on my 4 inch Dewalt angle grinder was simple, effective and painless.When using a good quality Shop-Vac with the shroud, the grinding produces almost no dust into the air when the shroud is against the floor.Part of the DustBuddie shroud can be removed to permit the user to get the grinder tight up against a wall.This feature is very effective, but as the unit is plastic and used in a very abrasive environment, the removable part doesn't go on and off very easily.I can see if someone is in a hurry, it wouldn't take much man-handling to break off one or both of the tabs which attach the cover to the main body of the shroud.All-in-all I am very happy with my purchase and expect it will last for many projects to come.
