I bought this to use with a vacuum adapter for a Hole Pro shield for hole saws. I used an adapter as power tool ports in the USA usually have a 1" OD and vacuum hoses have a 1.25" ID. Vacuum hoses is one area where there is no standardization and it gets to be even more of a problem when you mix in vacuums or tools made overseas. If you don't want to use an adapter a little bit of duct tape works very well as a substitute. The hose is the usual 13' or 4 meters long and of the same material as all other hoses I have found. The cuff is screwed on to the hose ribs and so comes off quite easily - another place where a little duct tape can help.
The hose diameter is less than a shop vacuum but it is only for dust and so works very well for its intended purpose. This is an item that is also sold by INGERSOLL-RAND as a air sander vacuum adapter (part number 4151-809) for $11.35 - a much better deal.
