Danze D493932BN 1/2-Inch Wall Right Angle Hose Connector, Brushed Nickel Review

I installed the fitting without thinking to inspect it for any potential problems.I turned the water on and my to my surprise, the fitting leaked.I removed it and examined the fitting.There is a bored hole into which the water inlet fitting is inserted. There is an o-ring seal between these two parts, the o-ring sits in a grove machined on the OD of the water inlet fitting.The problem with the connector I received was that the finish on the bored hole was irregular.The plating job was irregular and there was scoring on the ID.There was no way an o-ring could seal against that surface.Rather than return the connector, I polished the ID and replaced the o-ring with on with a slightly larger cross-sectional area.Now it works.It's a cleaver design that allows for easy installation.Just be sure to inspect the sealing surface prior to installation

Dust Collection Power Tool Hose with Fittings Review

I bought this to use with a vacuum adapter for a Hole Pro shield for hole saws. I used an adapter as power tool ports in the USA usually have a 1" OD and vacuum hoses have a 1.25" ID. Vacuum hoses is one area where there is no standardization and it gets to be even more of a problem when you mix in vacuums or tools made overseas. If you don't want to use an adapter a little bit of duct tape works very well as a substitute.

The hose is the usual 13' or 4 meters long and of the same material as all other hoses I have found. The cuff is screwed on to the hose ribs and so comes off quite easily - another place where a little duct tape can help.

The hose diameter is less than a shop vacuum but it is only for dust and so works very well for its intended purpose. This is an item that is also sold by INGERSOLL-RAND as a air sander vacuum adapter (part number 4151-809) for $11.35 - a much better deal.

Bosch VAC002 Airsweep Vacuum Hose Adapter Review

I bought a Bosch 1250DEVS sander. I read review of it by EvilTwin and he stated this VAC002 didn't fit. I called Bosch and desribed to them I had a 1 1/4" standard hose. They told me it would fit. Took the chance, now regret it. EvilTwin was correct, IT DOESN'T FIT. One end slips on the tool loosely, but the hose won't fit on other end. I reversed it, hose fitting on other end but adapter is too small to fit on the dust port. I tried forcing it on, then decided to shave a little off the adapter and tool port. It is usable but does not stay on. Thought about returning but postage costs as much as adapter. You have been warned, don't buy this.

Hitachi 19412F 50-Foot-by-1/4-Inch Polyurethane Air Hose Review

I bought two of these hoses mostly due to the favorable reviews and the really low sale price.

What I have found though, is that the hose fittings aren't up to serious use. So far I've had the fittings on both ends of one hose pull loose, once with wild thrashing of the hose until I could get to the compressor to disconnect it. The other hose I had the gun-end fitting break off when I dropped my gun. In both cases, it was the result of shoddy materials or construction. The hose with the loose ends was clearly not swaged tight enough at the factory. I could push the fittings completely back into the end of the hose and pull them off again by hand. In the case of the broken fitting, upon examination of the fitting I found that the fitting wall was very thin. I don't know whether this was an anomaly or indicative of all the fittings, but they clearly aren't meant for serious work.

On the other hand, the hose material itself is great. It is light weight and stands up to daily use on a construction site. While it will kink more easily than heavy duty hoses, the kinks don't appear to damage the hose itself. Just straighten out the kink and keep working.

So you can view this product in one of two ways. The first is that it is good, as is, for light weight occasional use around the shop. The second is that you've purchased a couple lengths of really good hose, but expect to replace the ends and fittings if your plan to use it for serious work.

When I purchased them they were on sale for $15.13 each. Had I paid the current price of $41.61 I would be livid. At $15.13 they were a good purchase for the hose material. At $41.61 I would not recommend them for any reason at all.

Mr. Nozzle M-300-SB 12-Feet Wet/Dry Vacuum Hose with Coupling Review

This is a high quality, flexible hose and a much improved alternative to the cheap plastic hose that came with my Craftsman. The only problem with it is that it uses 1 1/2" attachments which aren't readily available to the consumer.
But the real story here is Grizzly's attitude toward customer service. They had the incorrect picture on the site (since fixed) that misled me into believing that it was the hose that had attachments. The part number was correct, though, and when I received the hose I realized my mistake. When Amazon invited me to comment on the sale I mentioned the error, but still gave Grizzly 4 stars for smooth transaction and quick shipment. Within 2 hours I had email from Grizzly saying that they had realized their error and that they were shipping me the merchandise shown in the picture. I was stunned. This was far beyond anything that they could reasonably be expected to do.
I have always been a satisfied Grizzly customer, but now I guess I'm a Grizzly evangelist.

With a blastgate at each machine, you can control the air flow from the DC unit as if you only had one machine hooked up, providing the most efficient use of the air suction. By opening and closing each blastgate, as needed, you will get the maximum amount of air flow at all times.
For a more "durable" blastgate, there is a metal version available at a premium. But I have found the plastic gates run into problems with use.They jam with debris and cannot be taken apart to clean. The spot welds, which hold them together, will lossen with use, then the sliding gate, which is a friction function, will not operate properly.The metal gate uses a screw to kept the gate open.
Overall, it is a needed product that allows for maximum use of a dust collection system, with a blastgate installed at each branch to control the air flow to the machine in use. BUT, do not invest in the plastic version, go with the metal blastgate.

The water smelled equally strongly of chemicals. I got the odor on my hands and it took 24 hours to wear off even with repeated washings. I know how to coil a hose because my father taught me how to do it correctly. This hose was virtually impossible to coil. It's extremely soft and kinks instead of bending. Even laying it out in a completely straight line before coiling (the proper way to set up a hose for coiling) didn't help as the hose would kink within the coil at each bend.

Avoid this product. Goodness knows what chemicals they put into these hoses but they smell like a toxic dump *and* they don't work well.

Hi,

I hope you'll find this review helpful. I bought it to be used with my also new karcher k2.16 which it's the smallest of the karcher's electric washers and it works veeeeeeeeeeery good, pretty simple but it's a very good quality product!

The kit contains 3 parts:

Female-female quick release which was better than the one i had attached in my water hose.

male-male connector which is the one used on my karcher

female-male which is intended to be used when the pressure washer has a male intake.

because i already had quick connect on my water hose as well as my car-detailing fittings like gillmour foamaster, i only needed the male-male but because i ordered this together with the karcher, i didn't know the kind of connection needed but.. with the remaining two parts, i'm planning to use it to connect two hoses when extra length is needed... just fantastic! a quick connect extension!

if you're out there looking for quick connect for your water fittings, this one it's well made, has a high quality look and a fair price.

Dramm 22730 Touch N Flow Pro Full Flow Shut-Off Valve Review

I have a coiled garden hose with a firemans type nozzle. The Touch N Flow Pro does a great job. I usually have to adjuct the nozzle each time. You have to turn the nozzle by holding one end and adjusting the nozzle. With the Touch N Flow you adust the nozzle and then just release the handle of the Touch n flow and it works great. You can just close the handle and it stops flowing..Its alos easier to adjust the fow of the nozzle now with something to hold when adjusting it..You can not do better than with this shut off value..

FAIP Powerwasher 80011 Universal Pressure Washer 1/4-Inch by 25-Foot Replacement Hose Review

I bought the hose along with the pressure washer and the hose doesn't fit the unit.The manufacturer says they're not compatible.I asked why it's listed on Amazon as "buy together" when I bought my pressure washer.The manufacturer says Amazon did that and they never claimed it would fit.They said they would "allow" me to return the item but I had to pay shipping both ways.Let's see, a $14 item that they already gacked me $9.00 to ship to me and then they want to stick me again for another $9.00 to return it.I think I'll list it for sale on Craigs List.

Face it, They Hosed Me.

Jet JW1031 4-Inch by 10-Feet Black Dust Collection Hose Review

This is an excellent Dust Collection Hose.It does measure a consistent 4" and always fit easily over the connection fitting.It is somewhat flexible and very rigid, but will not coil back into itself.This might be a problem if you move your equipment back and forth.
The other hose options are a Clear Hose, which allows you to see any possible clugs and air blocks in the DC system.And there is a 50 foot coil hose, which is not as rigid, but it is sturdy and it will coil back into itself, allowing for the movement of machinery.
I used all three in my DC system.The clear hose where large particles would be generated (lathe, bore machine), the 10 foot rigid hose in areas that would always remain fixed in location. And the 50 foot coil hose (cut up, of course) on machine that I move back and forth from the wall to the garage floor.I don't have endless space in the garage for all the "needed" equipment I have to use.
All three hoses work just fine, no problems, no issues.
