I Went To The Tool Box, Grabbed them & Proceeded To Affix It To The Line In Which After I Squeezed It The Jaw Broke Off Cleanly. The Break Appeared To Be From A Casting Defect. I Would Not Buy Anymore & Look For A Different Brand To Buy In The Future

Alsons 1545CBX Four-Spray Massage Pin Clean Hand Shower with Contemporary Wall Bar System, Chrome Review

I spent two months researching wall-bar hand shower kits before pulling the trigger on this one, and I couldn't be happier! Having experienced many $30 showerheads over the years, and finding them all to be adequate at best, I decided with my new shower rennovation I'd spend a few extra dollars and pick up a decent system. The pressure in my neighborhood is generally good, but the homes were all built in 1964 and not generally ready to handle multiple-simultaneous household water loads. One shower or water appliance at a time is a general guideline to preserve acceptable pressure levels. Because of this limitation, I needed a head that would allow good pressure with low usage, in an effort to facilitate two showers at the same time. This Alsons really did the trick, allowing good continued pressure even when the washing machine starts or the toilet flushes.

Although four out of the six components of the kit are chromed plastic, the finish appears durable enough and well put together. The SS bar is nice, but the plastic mounting brackets seem cheap and flex quite a bit. The finish is fine for almost any format, and would look equally good as a starter-home upgrade or in an upscale new build.

The adjustable bar was essential for me, as I am 6'1" and my girlfriend is 5'2". The slider adjusts quickly with a single push-button and slides rather effortlessly across the bar. One complaint I do have is the tendancy of the stainless extendable hose to twist when water is pressing through it, though it returns instantly to a flat-hang when the shower is turned off.

Now, on to the important part: The pressure!
Coming from el-cheapo models that came with the house, this is a HUGE improvement. Shower pressure in standard spray mode is good, with enough pressure to wash shampoo out of the thickest hair. In massage mode, aeration and droplet control amplify the pressure, providing an expectedly-normal level of force. One drawback is the shower's inability to keep the stream from splitting and spattering in this mode. The "drench" mode is just that- drenching! It seems like a LOT of water cascades softly from the head on this setting. I rarely use it, but if that's your thing it will probably suit you OK. Not a lot of force is present in this mode, so the stream doesn't project from the head (and wall) as much as I'd like, but the reach of the bar+head makes even this low-pressure mode useable.

The fourth "mode" is standard shower with the cleaning pins pushed through the holes. Basically it skews the regular shower pattern and probably shouldn't be counted as an operable mode.

Pros:

-Handsome finish (matches my Delta Monitor valve)

Cons:
-Nylon bar mounts feel flimsy
-Plastic head feels unsubstantial
-Only three useable modes

Coming from the crummy heads previously installed, and the various hand-held and standard showerheads I've felt over the years, I'd say this showerhead performs as expected overall, given it's hefty price tag. It offers a remarkably refreshing shower experience, and was easily worth the money spent. I would recommend this product as an easy-DIY upgrade for your daily shower space without hesitation!

Alsons 45CPK Shower Arm Mount Unit, Chrome Finish Review

I didn't think it was possible. A handheld showerhead NOT made in China? I took a chance on this one. I got it for only $34! I have to admit, I bought it a) because it was priced at a huge discount and a high original price told me that it was perhaps of high quality as well. and b) I called the maker to ask where it was made and they told me it may be made in the US. So I was thrilled to find out that it was! The showerhead, hose and showerhead holder part of the mount are all plastic, but very nice quality and weight. The good part is that all the attachment parts (that screw on to something else) are metal. I wouldn't use anything more than my hand to screw them on though, because you will scratch the nice shiny chrome. Also, you'll need some Teflon plumbers tape, otherwise it will leak. If you want a hard core massage, this is not for you. It has 5 basic settings and the strength is about normal. I wasn't looking for massage strength, just something to be able to clean with, so for me, it's fine. I didn't give it 5 stars because I wouldn't mind if it gave a stronger spray and I wish the hose was longer. But, I think it looks much better than the cheapo big headed Waterpiks and their equivalents. This one's simple and elegant and best of all, still made in the USA!

This is a black 3" hose, made of ABS plastic. The sizing is very consistent, as I cut it into 3 foot sections, each end maintained 3 inches. The hose is very rigid, almost crushproof, yet flexible enough to move from side to side and up and down and all round. It is not flexible enough, though, to move back and forth (in and out) as if you were moving machinery from the wall to a work area. But it is an excellent hose for permanent pieces of equipment for your dust collection system.

JET JW1025 2-Inch Band Hose Clamp Review

The manufacture's review should state: "designed to fit SMOOTH piping to...." not just "designed to fit piping to ...".Very tough application when to comes to seating a ribbed hose and the compression needed to secure that surface to a fitting.
The steel band clamp should only be used in one type of application. That being where you are putting two SMOOTH surfaces together, like a garden hose or radiator hose. But with a DC application of a ribbed hose, the steel band clamp is NOT the preferred choice, use the wire clamp.
The steel band clamp will only strip and never be fully seated trying to compress and secure the wire rib to the smooth DC fitting. The steel banding and worm screw is not designed to do that task and provide the needed pressure to fully seat the ribbed hose. Whereas, the wire clamp will actually strattle the rib on both sides and create a perfect clamping fit.
I tried to save the twenty cents over the wire clamp, and wound up stripping the clamp thread on about 50% of the applications with the steel band clamps. I antied up and spent the extra cash and got the right product, the wire clamps for the ribbed DC hose.

I bought this a long time ago and it's still holding up today.

Long story short, I've gone through a number of home improvement store purchased shower hoses for my hand held shower heads, and I find that the laminated coil types will inevitably spring a leak in the vinyl laminate if you twist them enough through everyday usage.

This hose is the perfect solution - it's solid rubber so it won't spring a pin hole leak unless you, of course, puncture it with a pin. It's also very long relative to other hoses, which is great for rinsing off lower extremities and rinsing a bath enclosure from wall to wall. And for the length of hose, what I paid for it and for how long it's held up, this hose was a great deal.

Totally recommended.

Advanced Tool Design Model ATD-5004 Suction Gun with 12' Hose Review

Bought this to change the transmission and transfer case fluids in my Jeep. This job took twice as long because of this tool. The action is stiff and sticky, and it's very hard to compress the plunger in a confined space under a vehicle. Lying on the ground, because of this stickiness, there was no way I could stay under the vehicle to fill the gun. Thus, I had to climb out every time to refill it. Doing this, you'll get fluid spilled around too. Also, fluid was leaking out of the back end of the unit; obviously the seal didn't hold up to the Redline MTF and ATF 4 I used. This tool is cheap, but you'll throw it away when you are finished. Better to spend the money on a better product that you'll keep to use again. This is among the worst tools I've ever bought, that I intended to keep for many uses.

50ft Basic Central Vacuum Hose Review

I wondered if the sheer length of the thing would make it awkward and bulky to maneuver but it's just fine. And nice not to have to change ports so often. Way more suction than my old 35-footer, which had seen better days. There's a lot of hype to buy the sock that goes with this thing - and I see no point. Anyway, I thought it was a bit pricy at first, but I'm a convert. Glad to have bought it.

The hose lenght is perfect for me. Other ones I tried were too short. The angled snout is also a big plus. The suction control tends to fall off if you are not careful how you grab the handle. The hose is very flexible. A great value

Wagner Power Products 514139 Roll N Go Replacement Hose Review

The roll and go replacement hose was easy to use -and it makes cleaning up easy as well.Just make sure you attach the end with the longer piece of the smaller hose to the part that attaches to the paint can (made the mistake of doing it the opposite way and it doesn't specify in the directions).The roll and go cuts painting time at least in half.Since I tend to not use enough paint to fully cover using the roller and pan it takes care of that problem for me too!
