I have a washing machine in an area without a water heater or running water.I purchased four of these hoses to lay in the sun, hooked up to an outdoor faucet and connected to the machine. Then I purchased four more since the first four only filled the machine halfway with hot water. The idea works great and the hoses are holding up well. It sure saves money on electricity.By the way, I live in the desert so this way of heating water poses no problem.

JET JW1317 4-inch Wire Hose Clamp Review

If your hooking up a dust collection system, the proper clamps can make all of the difference. The standard band type clamps are not properly suited to the job. The unique thing about dust collection hoses, is that they are generally made out of smooth, slippery plastic, with a stiff wire running through them for support and/or grounding. This poses a problem for standard band clamps, because the clamp is too wide to get between the wires. Therefore you have a clamp pushing down on the wire. Since the wire is rigid and in a circle, you would have to compress the circle (ain't gonna happen). Therefore a wire clamp such as these, with twin rigid wires is just what the doctor ordered.
I tried everything from duct tape, which gets soft after a while and loses it, to band clamps. When I finally got a set of these, my hoses stay put, and they don't leak. They are easy to install, and you can put a good torque on them, and not have to worry so much about them messing the thread the way a band clamp does. With the Jet 4" wire hose clamp you are dealing with a nut and a threaded bolt instead of a screw and some sheet metal. Definitely a lot stronger with the Jet wire.
The bottom line, when attaching a 10 foot-4" vac hose to a plastic 4" fitting, you can pick up the hose, move it around, and not worry about the hose coming off, the way it does with the band clamps sometimes.

Carrand 90049 Fire Hose Nozzle Review

Karcher 9.558-112.0 Pressure Washer Vehicle Wash and Wax SoapPac, 12-Pack Review

This works really well if you use it properly. You need a washer that has a soap dispenser that can be switched off and on. Mine is a Karcher and the soap is dispensed when the wand is set to low pressure. So use low pressure to put some soap on the car and then switch to high to do the wash. You can repeat this a dozen or so times before the soap runs out. Note that when you switch to high the soap that is already in the line comes out with the high pressure spray for a second or two. Don't waste that as the short blast can cover half the car quite easily. Hard to remove grime spots might need the wand to be held close to the car. The final results were great and the rain beads up on the car nicely so the wax finish works. Be sure to rinse off well at the end and use a chamois or whatever for a final dry off. the whole process didn't take long at all. I couldn't get the wheel rims clean though - they were really dirty before. Perhaps when they are manually cleaned, regular use of the washer will do the job.

Hitachi 19412FA 1/4-Inch by 50-Feet Polyurethane Air Hose with Automotive Plug and Coupler Review

I have a small compressor, and a number of nail guns: framing, trim, brad, and stapler.I found that I wasn't using the air tools all that much because I didn't feel like fighting with the #$&#ing vinyl hose.By the time I had uncoiled it, fought with the tangles, the damage it did to anything in the work area, and then putting it away...if it was only a "few" nails, I just got out the hammer.

I tried a number of hose/reel combinations, but none of them lived up to expectations.Either the hose didn't quite fit in the reel, it leaked, or reeling the hose in was still a chore.

Finally I tried this hose.I had seen it at Lowe's for a while, but always assumed that it would either not deliver enough air, or leak after a week.

I was very pleasantly surprised.The hose delivers more than enough air, although I only use one tool at a time, and at "homeowner" rates of fire.I assume it would work fine in more strenuous use.As other reviewers have mentioned, it doesn't get caught or stick to corners like the vinyl.You can move the hose around with one hand, and it doesn't knock over anything that isn't bolted to the floor.No signs of leaks, cracks, etc.Even better, it can be coiled around the compressor, meaning it no longer takes a second trip to haul the hose, compressor and nailgun from the barn.

Not sure how it would hold up to professional, daily use, but for weekend warriors like me, it is a godsend.I find myself using my air tools a lot more since the hose now can be used and put away in seconds.Anyone want to buy 50' of barely used vinyl hose?

This is not labeled as approved for drinking water but it also does not say it contains lead.The warning says:Do not drink from this hose.Garden hoses can come in contact with harmful chemicals sometimes, used with nozzles, garden sprayers or chemicals used on lawns.The inside of the hose is dark, damp, and warm, causing bacteria to form.It is recommended that you run water through the hose until the water is cool before use.

Since I don't drink out of my garden hose, this is a non-issue with me.

Woodstock W1027 2-1/2-Inch by 10-Foot Hose Review

This is a big honking hose.my wife believes It is an elephant trunk.The price was much better (lower) than others and it works just fine for my purposes (as a part of a dust collection system in the shop).Something to consider is that it is not as flexible as other hoses that are more expensive.If you plan to be moving the thing around it probably would work just fine, but if you are as picky as I am you might want to look for a more expensive version.Enjoy!

Very disappointed... the "hose" has no fittings although it clearly shows them in the photo. When I went back and reread the ad I saw that it said "No fittings, bulk hose only." So, it's not really a hose but rather a vinyl tube with holes in it. What good is that?!?!

Update: It's too bad that I cannot change my rating to 0 stars. This hose is complete junk. It has blown two holes and we've only used it three times. Complete waste of money and time to install. I want a refund!!! Amazon, you should not sell this product!
